What is VITON-F
Fluorohydrocarbon rubber, Viton, possesses high chemical stability and is among the best medium-resistant elastomers currently available, with excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and superior physical and mechanical properties.
Viton-F, a special type of Viton, is characterized by an increased fluorine content over traditional Viton, particularly through the introduction of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) or perfluoroalkyl compounds. This compositional change enhances its chemical resistance, especially against acids, fuels, steam, and other corrosive chemicals, and Viton-F also exhibits improved heat resistance.
