The Taiwan Excellence Award, established in 1993 under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), aims to promote industrial innovation and internationalization in Taiwan. It symbolizes product excellence in innovation, quality, and global competitiveness. The selection process involves a panel of experts from various fields around the world, evaluating products based on R&D innovation, design aesthetics, quality management, and marketing strategy, while also considering the "Made in Taiwan" criterion to identify products with significant innovative value.
Notably, the Taiwan Excellence Award emphasizes not only the technical and innovative value of products but also environmental sustainability and social impact. 2. FU-ES Breakthroughs
Ultrasonic flow meters offer advantages such as non-contact liquid measurement and no need to cut pipes or shut down operations. However, traditional ultrasonic flow meters are often complex to install and require professional knowledge, making them less user-friendly for many flow meter users.
LORRIC’s FU-ES EchoSense Quick-Mount Ultrasonic Flow Meter simplifies the installation process through innovative hardware and software technology. Equipped with the patented "EchoSense Technology," it features automatic pipeline detection, allowing for quick installation without the need for specialized fluid knowledge. Additionally, to eliminate the inconvenience of regularly applying ultrasonic gel, the team developed "Ultrasonic Coupling Pads," which replace traditional coupling agents, minimizing maintenance needs.

3. CRE8 and LORRIC
The LORRIC development team collaborated with the CRE8 design team on the strategic development of the FU-ES Ultrasonic Flow Meter. This development emphasizes not only ease of installation and a broad range of applications but also addresses the needs of industrial users in target markets, such as PCB, semiconductor, and chemical industries, which have stringent requirements for real-time data and chemical resistance.
Most ultrasonic clamp-on flow meters on the market use metal bodies for structural support. However, considering the need to monitor corrosive liquids in certain environments, the design team chose plastic for the external housing, applying metal internally for structural support through a P+M approach. The outer casing was made of industrial-grade lead-filled nylon plastic, known for its high strength and durability. This design maintains structural integrity and chemical resistance, perfectly meeting the needs of target users.
For installation, FU-ES features a non-invasive clamp-on design to avoid fluid contact, extending equipment lifespan. It also uses the patented "Quick-Mount" system, allowing users to complete installation in three simple steps: align, lock, and secure. This saves labor and time, while also reducing maintenance and operation difficulty. The EchoSense DSP technology automatically calibrates and detects pipe specifications, eliminating manual input and ensuring convenient and accurate flow measurement.
