What is environment and device diagnostics information?

 

We can find a variety of flowmeter products on the market, but the most basic core messages of flowmeters are instantaneous flow and cumulative flow. Generally, flow rate flow meters transmit instantaneous flow, and volumetric flow meters transmit cumulative flow, data other than the first two can also be obtained by the flow meter, and LORRIC classifies them as “other information”. LORRIC's flowmeter can monitor the flow direction, magnetic field interference, accumulated data of date, whether the flow exceeds the upper and lower limits and other related information through settings. There are sensors everywhere and in addition to important information, it is necessary to collect some information that is not directly related but helpful.

What is the environment and device diagnostics information included?

 

➤ Self-health:

To diagnose the condition of the flowmeter itself. Most of the information in Alarm A is related to the health of the machine itself, for example: magnetic field interference, abnormal fins, whether or not to monitor the screen, current loop disconnection, hardware failure, switch signal is on or off, battery level , paddle wheel health index, speed of sound, RSSI, Q, ToM/ToS....

 

Parameter setting value:

All parameters can be set, read, and transmitted back through RS485. The advantage is that the flowmeter can be remotely changed or the status of the flowmeter can be confirmed, for example: all the incorrect parameters, date, cumulative data for the date.

 

➤ Environmental Monitoring:

Environmental data at the location of the flowmeter, for example: temperature.

 

User-defined:

Most of the information in Alarm B is a user-defined situation, and the user can know whether the measured value is within the range. For example: whether the flow exceeds the upper and lower limits, and whether the cumulative flow exceeds the target.

Switch Signals|

All Alarms can be set by setting the switch signal, and the switch signal can be transmitted to the external device when the Alarm occurs.

 

4-20mA|

RS485|

All parameters can be set, read, and the flowmeter can be changed remotely or the status of the flowmeter can be confirmed.

Instantaneous Flow

Upper and lower limits can be set, but relatively less accurate, less real-time, and more computationally intensive.

Less used.

Available in LORRIC flow meters, but less commonly used on the market.
