What is UPVC
- UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride), commonly referred to as rigid PVC, is an amorphous thermoplastic resin produced through the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer.
- This resin is combined with certain additives such as stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, etc.
In addition to the use of additives, modifications through blending with other resins have been adopted to enhance its practical value. These resins include CPVC, PE, ABS, EVA, MBS, etc.
- UPVC has a high melt viscosity and poor fluidity; even with increased injection pressure and melt temperature, the fluidity changes little.
- Furthermore, the resin's molding temperature is very close to its thermal decomposition temperature, resulting in a narrow temperature range for molding, making it a material that is difficult to mold.
