Introduction of Nozzle’s Connector

Contents

LORRIC provides nozzles in various ways to be installed on equipment or pipes. The most common way to install nozzles is external thread (aka male thread). However, there are more ways, like internal thread (aka female thread), flange type, welding type, and clamp type. Among them, the welding type could be further classified into two (2) types, spray pipe and plate positioning.

Features  The most common type in the industry which is simply fixed on pipe by thread.
It is a welding type with PVC material. It is easy to be re-installed and re-positioned nozzles with its original deflection angle. Meanwhile, it is also a stronger installation method than others.
It is simply drilling a hole and fixing the nozzle without any tools on a pipe.

1. Thread Type

Nozzles with thread type are commonly designed into the taper thread type for preventing water leakage. However, for complete leakage-free, tape seal or sealant must be adopted while installing. The leakproof feature makes parallel thread type not common to be adopted in other kinds of similar products in other industries. There are two (2) common regulations of taper thread, NPT and BSPT (aka PT). NPT is normally adopted in North America, while BSPT is adopted in the rest of the world.

It’s difficult to distinguish which thread type of the nozzle directly by eyes, therefore, it is better to do it according to the thread gauge.

In the below chart, LORRIC lists all the outer diameter sizes for your reference.
Common Sizes
Thread size (inch) Outer diameter size (mm)
1/8" 9.7 - 10.3
1/4" 13.1 - 13.6
3/8" 16.6 - 17.1
1/2" 20.9 - 21.3
3/4" 26.4 - 26.6

* NPT and BSPT share the same size chart.

Installation
Easy installing with 2 simple steps!
Step 1
Drill corresponding female threads on your pipe.

Step 2
For better leakproofness, please use Teflon seal tape on nozzle thread. Aim the thread of nozzle at the female thread. Tighten the nozzle clockwise.

2. Welding Type

This type of connector is a welder with PVC. When maintaining or reinstalling, it has a quick way to save time repositioning the nozzle’s deflection angle. Meanwhile, the welding type connection has more solid installation than thread type. The welding type is especially suitable for the industry which requests frequent maintenance, like PCB wet process.

Installation
Easy installing with 5 simple steps!
Step 1
Drill corresponding hole on your pipe. Aim the bottom of QFSA nozzle body at the hole.
Step 2
Use welding torch to fix QFSA nozzle body in the pipe hole.
Step 3
Aim QFMF nozzle tip to nozzle body.
Step 4
Put QFMF nozzle tip into nozzle body.
Step 5
Fasten the tip and the body clockwise to finish the nozzle installation. If the neighboring nozzles stagger with each other, you should place the nozzles at least 5 degrees of declination. Otherwise, the performance might be affected.
Finished

3. Clamp Type

Unique pipe clamp design allows it to be installed by drilling in the pipeline without any tools.

Installation
Easy installing with 5 simple steps!
Step 1
Drill a installation hole in the pipe which match the size of the EB installation hole.
Step 2
Aim and snap on the installation hole of the EB clamp at the pipe installation hole.
Step 3
Fasten with the pipe clamp.
Step 4
Release the union nut to adjust angle of the TB ball.
Step 5
Confirm the spray direction.
